H for The Great Himalaya’s

Does anything more vast, more bigger or more awe inspiring exist on our planet than the Himalaya’s???

H will always stand for that for me. No matter how many life’s I get, they will not be enough to explore this unbelievably beautiful region on this planet. No matter how many books, experiences I read, hear no matter how many photographs I see, how many videos or movies based on this place I see or how many visits I make this love affair will continue till the planet goes pooof one day!!!!

Admittedly I have only still gotten as far deep at Rohtang Pass. It was like coming back from the gateway… sigh… I still lust and dream and I am pretty sure I will make the trip one day to Leh. These pictures are by Nigam76 the other half of this blog, foto freaks. This trip was made in June 2004, it started on one evening at 11 from Bharuch and ended 22 days later back in Bharuch. This was the year when my son was to be born and I couldn’t join on this trip. All pics are almost 9 years old, frankly the liking and fondness for the hills started becoming an obsession after seeing these pictures these guys clicked !!!! Sigh…

Lo… Behold H for Himalaya’s

The Kinnaur Kailash (locally known as Kinner Kailash) - It is a place where you can sit the whole day and get different photographs every hour !!!! Frankly speaking a perfect place jaha pe baithe raho... aur sootha lagate raho !!!!!!! :D :D

His foto freakiness has got me hooked and I followed his footsteps and got into photography and now own an SLR. He though is always shy to write and hence I take up that role 😀

Maybe our signature should be amateur clickers and not amateur clicker but well by the time we get around to change that I am sure you would be busy planning your trip to The Great Himalaya’s this summer ! 😀

  1. All pics are marvelous but the reflection one is to die for. It is like an introspection aspect that you travel so far to find your true self. Loved this post.
