This post wouldn’t be fair if I didn’t start with those smiley’s !
G for Green Green Goa –
Especially in the monsoons, after having loathed and evaded Goa visit so many times, finally a free trip last year had me visiting Goa. That too largely inspired by a Monsoon edition of Outlook Traveller which featured Goa and the fact that appealed to me the most was that the crowds would be considerably less.
We loved our visit so much we have decided to do Goa again, but, in the monsoons and no other season, for the beauty of the place and the greenery of the place has to be seen to be believed !
Early morning pics from the train to Goa… the Konkan railway route is breathtaking and you must do Goa by train !!!
Another pic from the train… !
Another one from the train… it looked like Goa was washed and cleaned before we visited it ! 😀
The Kolva Beach at 10 am… have you seen such empty beaches in Goa ?? Tell tell ?
The beach was not our most seeked area… I am a sucker for greenery and driving through the empty streets of sleepy south Goa in the interiors was bliss… infact there were no people out for us to even ask for directions… everyone was busy in their afternoon siesta !
Blue Ocean, Green Hills and Cloudy skies… to just sit and observe and soak ! and yes click !! 😛
the beauty of sweet nothingness 😀
The swaying palms in the breeze and the lazy ocean hugging the shore… sigh… !
Palm Groves !
these flowers grew in abundance… everywhere ! Adding a twist to the greenery !
Football fields look like paddy fields !!!! 😀 😀 😀
the back waters I guess… a lovely spot to fish and read a book and maybe eat an orange !!!! 😛
The washed roads with green on both sides !
When in the rains… get wet… get a plastic coat, raincoat and go out in the rains… !!! just leave the camera indoors when you do that ! 😀
Watching the ocean come kiss your feet and go back is a wonderfully rejuvenating time pass… the clouds in the monsoon also couple up as a wonderful kaleidoscope !
above all its a great place to be with loved ones and enjoy the camaraderie 😀
And then there are some folks… who can’t keep their feet on the ground…. sigh….
what do you do to them ! 😛
Yea… I lost it folks… !
